Yoga has been a huge part of my life for coming up on 20 years now. My mom started teaching yoga in the early 2000s and I practiced on and off for the next decade. Around 2012, I started getting really serious about it because I was suffering from autoimmune issues and exercise intolerance. I was unable to workout like I used to and had to find new, gentle ways to move my body. I needed something that still helped me with strength and stamina, while also being gentle on my overall body and yoga, along with walking, fit the bill perfectly.
My focus as a Certified Yoga Teacher is to help you explore yoga in a way that feels accessible, fun, and relaxed. So often people feel intimidated by traditional yoga studios (those in larger bodies may feel shame or embarrassment around not having the “ideal” yoga body). Or, they may find that even the “gentle” yoga classes are far too vigorous for where they are currently in their health. Or, perhaps they are struggling with environmental illness (like mold, MCS, etc.) and can’t go to traditional studios or gym spaces.
Those three reasons mentioned above are exactly what drove me to complete my certification and begin offering private, 1-on-1 lessons and small group lessons to those in the Denver metro area. I can come to your home, your workplace, a park, or even a local library with rentable rooms. You don’t need a large space and we can even practice outdoors when the weather is nice.
